Terms of Use

Effective June 1, 2026

These terms govern your use of the Orbit Media Player Android application (“the app”) published by Orbit Media Player (“we,” “us”). By installing or using the app, you agree to these terms.

License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the app on Android devices you own or control, subject to these terms and the Google Play Terms of Service. The app itself is licensed, not sold; we retain all rights not expressly granted to you.

What you can do with the app

  • Play media files stored on your device.
  • Download media from direct URLs you choose to paste into the Downloader.
  • Modify your local copy of the app's data (favorites, playlists, settings).

What you may not do

  • Use the app to infringe copyright, including downloading content you do not have the right to download. You are solely responsible for the legality of any URL you paste into the Downloader.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app except where Android or applicable law expressly permits it.
  • Resell, rent, lease, sublicense, or redistribute the app or any of its assets.
  • Use the app in a way that violates the Google Play Terms of Service, the law, or any third party's rights.

Third-party content

The app plays media files and downloads files from URLs you choose. We do not host, curate, moderate, or warrant any of that content. Disputes about specific content are between you and the content's owner.

Updates

We may release updates that fix bugs, add features, or improve performance. Updates are delivered through Google Play. We may at our discretion stop supporting older Android versions in future updates; the version you have already installed will continue to work within the limits of your Android version.

Payment and refunds

The app is sold for a one-time fee on Google Play. Refunds are governed by Google Play's refund policy, including its automatic 2-hour refund window. For genuinely defective behavior outside that window, write to support@orbitmediaplayer.com within 14 days of purchase and we will back the refund through Google Play.

Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the app is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device, codec, or file format.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will Orbit Media Player or its contributors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or use, arising from or related to your use of the app. Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising from the app will not exceed the price you paid for it.

Termination

These terms apply for as long as you use the app. You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may discontinue the app or revoke this license if you materially breach these terms.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be called out in release notes on Google Play. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Orbit Media Player is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence still apply.
